We strongly advise reviewing both of these documents before starting the new application this year: 2016-2017 Application Guide & Program Reviews and Determine General Program Applicant Status.  Submitting incorrect or incomplete information could result in the termination of your application.  Contact our office with any eligibility questions before starting an application.

  • Keep record of the email you used to register your account; you will need this to login throughout the year.  
  • Internet Explorer is not recommended.  We suggest using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari. Most questions can be answered by referring to the FAQs, Resources, and Helpful Links tabs at the top of this page.
  • Add "info@sbscholarship.org" to your contacts to identify the Foundation email address as a safe sender and avoid missing important email notifications.

  • 2015-16 scholarship recipients looking to provide proof of enrollment for their 2015-16 scholarship disbursements should login to the 2015-16 application site at: sfsb.fluidreview.com.  
  • We highly recommend that you submit your application at least one week before the listed due date to ensure that you do not miss the deadline as a result of technical difficulties with your equipment/network or as a result of heavy traffic on the application website.   Applications cannot be submitted with incomplete or pending tasks.
     

 

Scholarship Applications for the 2016-2017 Academic Year:

 

1.  General Scholarship Program 
For new or re-applicant vocational, undergraduate, medical (MD), and graduate students that meet SFSB General Eligibility requirements.
ALL APPLICANTS MUST Determine General Program Applicant Status BEFORE STARTING THE APPLICATION.  Providing incomplete or incorrect information could result in the termination of your application.  Unsure about your applicant status?  Contact our office before starting.

Student Aid Report (SAR) Due: March 8, 2016 
 
***Approximately 5% of our scholarship funds in the General Scholarship Program are merit-based.  You will need to provide family financial information to complete this application regardless of which funds you wish to be considered for.  We will consider applicants based on merit for those who qualify.  Omitting financial information and/or the Student Aid Report (SAR) will result in the termination of your application.
 
2.  South Coast Area High School Senior Art Competition

4.  Special Employer Sponsored Application for EMPLOYEES ONLY

NoteApplicants cannot complete both the General Scholarship Application and the Employer Application, you must choose one.  If you meet the SFSB General Eligibility (including a full-time enrollment plan for the 2016-2017 academic year) and are ALSO employed by one of these companies, we recommend you choose the General Scholarship Application if you wish to be considered for additional scholarships (you will indicate your employer eligibility by checking off the appropriate box in the Donor Match task).  
 If you do not meet the General Eligibility Requirements AND/OR do not plan to be a full-time student in 2016-2017, complete the Special Employer Application.  CHILDREN OF EMPLOYEES must complete the General Scholarship Application.  If you did not attend high school in Santa Barbara, you may select one of the "Other/Out of Area" options listed.  Questions?  Call 687-6065 or email info@sbscholarship.org.

5.  Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Heritage Scholarship Program Application 
For verified lineal descendants of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians planning to enroll in vocational, undergraduate, or graduate school in the upcoming academic year.  Contact the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians for eligibility questions.

***Eligible verified descendants that ALSO meet the SFSB General Eligibility requirements (including SB residency and full-time enrollment) should complete the General Scholarship Program application and indicate their lineage in the "Donor Match List" task.  If you did not attend high school in SB County and did not earn your HS Diploma/GED from SB County, you should only complete the SY Band of Chumash Indians Heritage Scholarship Program Application.
